It's difficult to post table's in this format, probably a pix will do best:

Not bad for the 1st wk of '09 Preseason (discounting HoF game BUF @TEN). We'll see about next week.

09 PreSeason week 1

OK so I forgot to post a pick for BUF @TEN HoF game, it would've ended up as a push and over. Notations: 4-stars **** favored side or total, anything less means I'm not to certain. Totals w/capitals means a much stronger lean toward either OVER or UNDER, small caps are for just my thoughts, not very strong play at all. There should be more stars for the either the side or total and this denotes the stronger play. CAPs and 4-stars are my fav's.

Teams to watch, HOU, why? QB Grossman is 3rd string and should get a lot of playing time during preseason. It's just this week they're up against KC w/new coaches, players etc and teams rebuilding (DET, STL, TB) tend to play alot harder than "established" teams.
Teams w/QB competition should make for good 1st half bets, NYJ, CLE, MIN, (ARI though this is due to QB2 vs QB3).
Perhaps I should pick PHI over NE, but I think NE will blitz more, PHI does have a more physical camp and QB2 AJ Feeley (spell?) and yet I can't pick this game really well. Gotta go...

Here's a list of all the training camps and their dates. Profootballweekly.com has also revamped their site. Sue Nemitz was kind enough to provide a direct link to their rss feeds, my only comment is I wish they would put the ProFootballWeekly tag on the rss so that it appears on my list of rss feeds instead of "News top stories" and their logo would be nice as well.

National Football Post

They've changed their site, new look and I was just getting to like their "old" look, but I guess things change and I notice that they have twitter and facebook links on the front page as well.

Still highly informative, I wonder if they could post numbers like I saw on NFL network of "$$ spent per win" worst was OAK, DET, among the best was DEN, but w/a change of regime I think they'll fall in the rankings

Here in 'vegas, the venerable Gambler's Book Shop has moved to 1550 E Tropicana #4, 89119

It's on the north side of Tropicana, if you're coming from the west (I-15/strip properties), you can make a U-turn @Spencer (Liberace Museum will be on your right), head back on Tropicana and turn in (right) at Casey's Cameras sign.

I picked up Phil Steele '09 College Football Preview (BTW Phil's site has gotten larger w/much more relevant info and angles for the informed bettor) and will go back for Andy Iskoe info.

Take a look at this Las Vegas Sun article on early NFL action from 6/23 this could cure the itch or just make you want to scratch.

It would be nice to compare early numbers to the game day numbers that are posted, yet sadly the Hilton will not post numbers on their web site. You can go to donbest.com or vegasinsider.com (they have numbers for all the major local casinos, see page 2 for more) for current odds.

Super Bowl XLIII - results

so I got the big one perfect, but I didn't do so well on prop bets. I had actually marked winners on the prop sheet, but alas I didn't follow my first instincts and on game morning I went in placed bets on losers.... sigh. I had actually pick a range of bets for exact score w/'zona & pitt, but I didn't follow the plan and I ended up a bit down for the playoffs.

Next year, I need to remember to stick to the plan, what's the plan? follow instinct...

I missed the All-Pro game due to work, and I noticed the total was 51 which seems high 'til I checked the O/U total line @donbest.com which shows a total of 66 and NFC -3, side seem'd right, but 66? seems like a college game total....
